Coach Jerome Whitaker, Founder: Native of South West Georgia where he played 4yrs of high school basketball under legendary coach Huge (Butch) Watts and Jason Miller, at Lee County High School.
Coach Jerome played college basketball in Massachusetts at Roxbury Community College for coach Malcom Wynn and John Jackson where his team was ranked #10 overall and #1 in offensive scoring. He begin his career coaching youth basketball in various camps and youth community centers throughout the Boston area. In 2005, he coached at Smith Leadership Academy, coaching both girls and boys and continues to play an active role in the lives of many of the kids that he mentored while coaching. Moving to Texas in 2012 with his wife and two kids ignited his passion for teaching kids the game of basketball. Coach Jerome's goal is to give youths the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game and play at a high level.
